Realtor at The Rogers-Long Team: Powered by Hometown Realty
Born and raised in the greater Richmond area, Jake Edmonds graduated college in 2018 with a degree in Government Foreign Affairs and a minor in Military Leadership and National Security. He played football at both Cosby High School and Hampden-Sydney College. After playing the sport for 16 years of his life, Jake decided to put his competitive mindset & disciplined routines to work by becoming a member of The Rogers-Long Team: Powered by Hometown Realty.
While at H-SC, Jake was a part of many different clubs and organizations including the Leadership Program through the Wilson Center for Leadership in the Public Interest. After hesitantly accepting a sales internship the summer before his sophomore year of college, Jake ended up finding great enjoyment and success through the position because for the first time he was able to apply his competitive nature to something other than sports. Like many other upperclassmen in college, Jake was unsure about what career would be best for him, so he attended a dinner social organized by the Career Development Center at Hampden-Sydney where he met many notable alumni including Ben Rogers and Deane Cheatham, an owner of Hometown Realty. After talking with Team Leader Ben Rogers about what Ben refers to as “The 5 C’s to Success” (Confidence, Competence, Competitiveness, Care, and Consistency), Jake decided that these attributes serve as a perfect description of the person he wanted to be, so he signed up on The RLT right after graduation in the Spring of 2018.
Two of the values Jake finds most important are creating & maintaining relationships and helping others accomplish their goals. While not selling real estate, you can find “Coach Edmonds” on the football field coaching the Defensive Line at Cosby High School!
