Lead Buyer Specialist at The Rogers-Long Team of Hometown Realty
Born and raised in Hanover County, Kevin attended Hanover High School and James Madison University. After a shoulder injury ended his baseball career just before college, Kevin had his sights set on becoming a high school teacher and baseball coach. At JMU, Kevin studied History and Education and even doubled as a baseball and football coach at a local high school in Harrisonburg. After deciding that teaching was not the route he wanted to take, he was licensed in July of 2012 in order to represent you in the purchase of a home.
A salesman at heart, Kevin has always had a knack for getting a good deal. Growing up, he would go to yard sales with his father, who is a collector of antique tools. Finding used tools and cleaning them up, Kevin would sell them on eBay for more money than he bought them for!
With this attribute in mind, Kevin decided to get in the real estate business in order to help educate home buyers on the buying process – all the way from prequalification to closing!
Since being licensed in 2012, Kevin has won multiple real estate awards including the “Century Club” Award by Hometown Realty for a 100% increase in sales volume in 2014, and is a consistent winner of the Richmond Association of Realtors Outstanding Production Award. In the summer of 2014, Kevin joined up with Ben to help form The Rogers-Long Team, which has produced over $20,000,000 yearly in gross sales volume since 2015 and most recently producing over $25,000,000 in 2017.
In his spare time, you can find Kevin playing golf, church softball, or watching his favorite baseball team, the Pittsburgh Pirates. With a large part of his family being from Boston, you might even find Kevin at Fenway Park for a Red Sox game!
Kevin is known by his clients as a trusted and reliable resource. His positive and fun attitude makes him an easy choice for his buyers to count on.
