Born and raised in Columbia, South Carolina, Sharon attended her hometown University: South Carolina. Graduating in 1983, she majored in Journalism & Advertising and quickly applied the latter to jobs with reputable companies like Coca-Cola, Hanes, and McDonald’s. After working for these and several other national accounts for 10 years, she settled down with her husband chip in Richmond, VA. 28 married years later, Sharon is a mother of three grown sons and has spent years helping to run a family business with Chip and their boys.
Wanting to begin a new career in real estate, Sharon had the opportunity to hear the Principal Broker of Hometown Realty, Mike Chenault, speak at her real estate class and was impressed by the company’s enthusiasm and positivity. After choosing to hang her license with Hometown over other well-known firms in Richmond, Sharon was invited to a few weekly meetings with The Rogers-Long Team: Powered by Hometown Realty and quickly decided it was the right fit.
The RLT excitedly welcomed Sharon on the team in October 2018, where she can contribute her years of business and life experiences to an energetic team of individuals. Most importantly, Sharon shares the common trait of a positive and fun attitude with the rest of the team!
When Sharon is not working to grow her real estate business, you can find her volunteering for her church at Hope Thrift, cooking and entertaining with her family, gardening, or walking her two labs – Dixie & Boomer!
