Monday Motivation: Lucky You!

Every Monday, The Rogers-Long Team meets for one of its two weekly meetings. The Monday meeting always ends with “Monday Motivation” in which a few minutes are spent listening to one team member presenting a quote, a quick reading from a book, a scene from a movie, or anything else they find motivating to provide a “spark” to the whole team on a Monday morning.
The Harder You Work, The More Luck You Seem to Have
Perplexed about how the same people in your life always seem to be lucky? Things just happen to fall into their lap, over and over again? Take a step back: other than a potentially picking the correct lotto numbers, what do those people have in common?
Chances are they are hard workers. Consistent workers. They tackle the small tasks that may seem mundane & repetitive but are necessary. They show up to work every day (7 days per week if needed) and stick to their schedule, even when they would rather be elsewhere.
Personally, I have seen my husband, Brandon, “luckily” fall into his career. For 10 years he home brewed, working hard to perfect his brew, batch after batch. Meeting people and maintaining connections until one day out of nowhere a friend “luckily” recommended him to a local brew pub to become their new head brewer. This started the 7-day work week which he pretty much maintains. This hard, award-winning work, led him to The Answer BrewPub where he is now. All of that hard work helped build the Answer into a destination place for those seeking out great beer, especially IPAs, best in VA IPAs. I guess he is lucky to be brewing beer for a living, I’m glad that just fell into his lap. (Note the sarcasm!)

After hiring The RLT for her family’s move, Ben returned the favor and hired her to come work with the team! Stacy’s primary role is coordinating transactions from contract to close. In addition, Stacy assists in the marketing of listings and helps with the team’s client care services. In her spare time, you can find Stacy working in the garden, tasting Craft Beer, or managing her three fantasy football teams!
