Monday Motivation: What Path Will You Follow: Progress or Excuses

Monday Motivation, 5.13.19

Every Monday, The Rogers-Long Team meets for one of its two weekly meetings. The Monday meeting always ends with “Monday Motivation” in which a few minutes are spent listening to one team member presenting a quote, a quick reading from a book, a scene from a movie, or anything else they find motivating to provide a “spark” to the whole team on a Monday morning.
There are only two options:
-Make Progress
-Make Excuses
We always have a choice. Which path will you decide to follow? Are your actions working towards achieving your goal? Or are your actions pushing you back to your comfort zone?
Progress isn’t always easy. We need to overcome the fears and misconceptions that we have told ourselves. Who is really stopping you? Are you telling yourself that you are not good enough? Look at your actions. Did they help you or hurt you?
Knowing what our goals are and being conscious about the decisions we make, allows us to breakdown each choice. Am I getting better by doing said action? Or am I choosing a short cut or ignoring my goal all together? We can push ourselves to get better with each decision.
Are you making progress or excuses?
