Monday Motivation: Anything Can Happen

Every Monday, The Rogers-Long Team meets for one of its two weekly meetings. The Monday meeting always ends with “Monday Motivation” in which a few minutes are spent listening to one team member presenting a quote, a quick reading from a book, a scene from a movie, or anything else they find motivating to provide a “spark” to the whole team on a Monday morning.
If you believe that we live in a world where anything is possible, then you can also believe we live in a world where anything can possibly happen. There are lots of happenings that are more probable to happen than others. If you focus on ensuring that your most probable happenings are good habits, then you can make a lot of good things happen. Nothing will happen until you decide to make it happen.
I do believe we live in a world where anything can happen, but I believe anything can happen as long as you put your mind to it. You have to come up with a plan to make it happen. Consistency is key. Are there times you will get lucky and things will “just happen” in your favor? Yes. But we shouldn’t sit around with our fingers crossed hoping for the best. Instead, create a consistent routine working towards your goals. The more prepared you are for things, the ‘luckier’ you become.
We are currently in the middle of the global pandemic of COVID-19. Proof that anything can happen. However, if you’re able to adapt to the changes and stick to your daily schedules you can still make things happen. You can still achieve good things and continue aiming for your goals.
Don’t give up just because things are different. Push even harder because things are different. How do you adapt to change to ensure you can still make great things happen?
