Monday Motivation, 10.26.2020

Every Monday, The Rogers-Long Team meets for one of its two weekly meetings. The Monday meeting always ends with “Monday Motivation” in which a few minutes are spent listening to one team member presenting a quote, a quick reading from a book, a scene from a movie, or anything else they find motivating to provide a “spark” to the whole team on a Monday morning.

Relationships are hard.  Whether it being your significant other or best friends through all the stages of life, they are relationships you need to work on and for.  You want these people to support you in whatever you want to accomplish and vice versa with you supporting them.  

With finding that person to spend your life with, it is extra tricky.  You are involved in every aspect of each other’s lives from financials to children and sometimes the most difficult of all.. what you are having for dinner. I joke, but when that is your most difficult decision… you are doing pretty good.  Sometimes we need to be reminded of that.

You want the person you are with to be supportive of you so you can create the best life you can for yourself and for them/ your family.  It can be from going back to school, working extra to get that promotion, or starting a business because you see the long-term success.    All these things can take a toll on a relationship, especially when you have small children, but if you find the right person, they understand and will do what they have to to support you and keep the ship afloat.  They too see the long-term success.

Born in California, Ashley moved to Mechanicsville at the age of 6 and graduated from Lee-Davis High School. She went to Old Dominion University and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Merchandising and Human Services but knew Mechanicsville was home.  She moved back and settled down roots with her husband, Joe and son, Weston.  Once moving back to Mechanicsville she started her Real Estate career in 2015.  She loves helping people find that special house that they can see their future in and create a lasting relationship with her clients.   Her favorite way to see the Richmond area is on foot so feel free to wave if you see her on the road running.
