Monday Motivation: Think Right

Monday Motivation, 09.20.2021

Every Monday, The Rogers-Long Team meets for one of its two weekly meetings. The Monday meeting always ends with “Monday Motivation” in which a few minutes are spent listening to one team member presenting a quote, a quick reading from a book, a scene from a movie, or anything else they find motivating to provide a “spark” to the whole team on a Monday morning.
THINK RIGHT
Think smiles, and smiles shall be;
Think doubt, and hope will flee;
Think love, and love will grow;
Think hate, and hate you will know.
Think good, and good is here;
Think vice, it’s jaws appear!
Think joy, and joy never ends;
Think gloom, and dusk descends.
Think faith, and strength’s at hand;
Think ill, it stalks the land.
Think peace, sublime and sweet,
And peace you will meet;
Think fear, with brooding mind,
And failure is close behind.
Think this: “I’m going to win.”
Think not what has been,
Think victory; think “I can!”
Then you’re a winning man!

Be conscious of your thoughts and be able to recognize when your mind begins to shift. Don’t allow your mind to leak, second guess or doubt. A strong mind can overcome all obstacles. Trust it and in yourself at all times. Confidence and persistence are an unstoppable combo. We can’t always control what happens but we always control what goes on between our ears. You can always do more than you think and you can do it with a smile. We are what we think. Be conscious.
